Windows installation

For SysOps running BBS software on Windows that isn’t Synchronet: use the Windows connection client. (It’s based on the R&M Door Library and requires .NET Framework 2.0+.)

Step-by-step

  1. Download and unzip the client package somewhere your BBS can run it.
  2. Edit the included batch/config file and enter your BBSlink credentials.
  3. Add it as a door in your BBS software, passing the door code (e.g. lord).
  4. Test with a local user first, then let callers loose.

If you hit something odd (permissions, pathing, node number handling), send details via the general enquiry form and include your BBS software + version.

Tip

If you’re actually on Synchronet, the native JS client is usually simpler: Synchronet guide.
